There are hundreds of different ways to tie a woven wrap! But which is my size? I'm here to help you find out your Base Size.
Some need a short wrap, others need a longer wrap. Most people determine your Base Size as the length you need to tie a Front Wrap Cross Carry. The most common base sizes are between a size 5 to size 8.
I’ve created a rough guide, to help figure out your base size.
So, if you're a beginner looking to buy your first woven wrap - I would suggest to choose your Base Size (see above chart), this is the size you'll need to begin wrapping your baby in a FWCC (Front Wrap Cross Carry).
It’s also worth bearing in mind that your base size may change during your time of babywearing, as your baby gets bigger.
Other factors that come into play with changing Base Size are:
Size of the baby as they grow into a toddler.
Your body shape and chest size.
Preference to long or short tails, e.g. if you want to breastfeed while babywearing.
Please note: you will need Base+1 to do tandem twin carries!
